The centre was built on site of 44,000 sq/m and was designed by
Dominique Parnet, a well known French architect. It can
accommodate a pupil role of 350, with pupils having a variety of
special needs. The building contains a wide range of
state-of-the-art facilities for pupil education, teacher training,
sports and recreational activities, and a clinic.
Residential facilities are designed to accommodate more than 150
pupils and teachers. All in all, the AMSEC represents a model of
provision for special children in a rural area where previously
there was a void. |
