Mr.
Bertrand Fried & Mrs. Claire Faried during their visit to the
centre in 2004.
Fried Betrand, a
French businessman, and his wife played a key role in Mudassar’s
motivation, supporting him morally and financially. Mr. Betrand
and his wife have subsequently visited the developing facilities
in Pakistan. Mudassar said: “He treated me like a brother and a
family member.”
Betrand also
donated a rare art collection of paintings of Sadequain (a
renowned Pakistani artist) for the cause. This rare collection of
60s paintings, referred to as the 'The Missing Link', are a
reflection of the time the famous artist spent with the Bertrands
in Paris before his death.

Mrs. Nahid Shah (Director)
along with Mr. Mudassar (Chairman) and Mr. Rob
Phillips, (Educational Psychologist, Royal
School for the Deaf and Communication Disorders,
Manchester, UK) during Rob’s visit in 2006.
The Al-Mudassar Special Education Center is
building an international reputation. It will
work increasingly with professionals from across
the globe. Here Nahid Shah and Mudassar Shah are
visited by Rob Phillips, an Educational
Psychologist working at the Royal School for the
Deaf and Communication Disorders, Manchester,
UK. While we realize we cannot import curricula
and practices directly from centers in more
developed countries with a different
infrastructure, we have enough in common with
our colleagues elsewhere to enjoy their support
and benefit from their expertise. |
