Globally, it is estimated that approximately 1.3 billion people live with some form of vision impairment and 36 million people are blind. In Pakistan according to the latest census, about 3 hundred thousand people are blind where Punjab province has the highest numbers. Blindness creates a chain effect, starts with illiteracy and ends with social exclusion of blind children, these young souls are the most vulnerable group in the world, and shockingly very few have access to education. Their social inclusion is only dependent on their special education whereas very few institutes in Pakistan are capable to cate their need in full potential yet many of them are private or partially charge fee which is a big hindrance for them to achieve their unseen dreams.
School for blind students have all kind of facilities to engage them in several activities.
